Christine’s Kitchen Update
Thanks to all volunteers and those who contributed food and supplies.
We were able to serve at least 60 needy souls and I am happy to report that food did not go to waste, what was not served was packed away in containers and distributed to the guests.
We don’t have any more volunteer dates scheduled for the rest of this year for Christine’s Kitchen.
If there is a positive response from the congregation or our interfaith partners to serve again this year, I will arrange it in the fall or summer, if not then it will be next year.   You can send me an email if you would like me to schedule another with your preference for fall or summer.

St. Stephen’s Former Rector, Gordon Tremaine
As most of you know our former Rector, Gordon Tremaine, unexpectedly died in March.  So many of us remember him as a wonderful preacher and leader who really got us involved in outreach.  Our commitment to IHN is a direct result of his efforts. We were his first Parish….and we thought it would be good to remember him with a donation from St. Stephen’s to one of the groups he supported.  If you would like to contribute to this please just put a check in the offering plate ….or mail it to the office…and note that it’s for Gordon. We’d like to send this by May 7th. Thank you. Nancy Sieffert

Transition Process
Our Priest In Charge job description is now officially posted!  Please continue to pray for the parish, and the Vestry/Search Committee as we continue on this journey together.
Evening of Discernment Cancelled

Due to insufficient interest, we have cancelled the Evening of Discernment scheduled for April 24, 2018.

Please note that the Commission on Ministry continues the important work of helping clergy and parish discernment committees identify and nurture people who feel called to ordained ministry.
We encourage anyone who is sensing a call to ordained ministry, priestly or diaconal, to visit the Commission on Ministry subpage at the diocesan site and review the Guidelines which describe in detail the process leading to ordination. Aspirants, as well as others, are welcome to contact the chairs of the Committee on the Priesthood and the Committee on the Diaconate with questions.
Mr. Larry Sunden, chair, Commission on Ministry/Committee on the Priesthood,larry@sunden.com
