Funerals and Burial

The Episcopal Church offers powerful and pastoral liturgies for those experiencing grief and loss. In addition, St. Stephen’s offers end-of-life planning in conjunction with local funeral directors; provision of cemetery plots and mausoleum crypts and niches in our historic and beautiful cemetery in Millburn.

The Rector is willing to officiate at funeral home services, gravesite burials as well as conducting full memorial and burial services in Church. Our ecumenical cemetery, mausoleum and funeral services are available to all, and we can make arrangements for pre-purchase of plots and crypts ahead of time and at need.

You are encouraged to discuss aging and end-of-life wishes with your family and loved ones and the Rector is happy to discuss your personal preferences in order to support families at the time of loss.

For pre-planning and funeral/bereavement services please contact the Rector at 973-376-0688, ext. 21.

For more information about the purchase of gravesites, crypts or niches, please call Dennis Lysaght on 973-564-8787.
