Prayer for Guidance in finding a new Rector (BCP)
Almighty God, giver of every good gift:  Look graciously on your Church, and so guide the minds of those who shall choose a new Rector for this parish, that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

THANKSGIVING
My appreciation for this wonderful St. Stephen’s family is unbounding.  You have surrounded us with love and caring in so many ways through your support and prayers, meals, cards, magnificent memorial service and bountiful reception following.  We are so thankful to each of you!

FOOD BARREL
We had a big success on S O U P E R  Sunday, with 83 cans of soup being donated to the barrel.  Analysis by the Barrel Statistician Julia Dorn revealed that 78 of the cans were split among Progresso (43), Campbell Chunky (24) and Campbell (11) soups.  We’ll have some other special days as the year goes along, but for now, please keep filling the barrel with nonperishable food.

Sunday, February 18, 4pm – Beckerath Organ Recital by
Christopher Houlihan
We welcome one of the brightest stars in the new generation of organists,
CHRISTOPHER HOULIHAN, who was selected in 2015 by the AGO for The Diapason’s “20 under 30” list of leaders in the organ world under 30.  He has performed recitals and concertos at major venues across the country from the Kennedy Center to Disney Hall, also in Europe and at conventions of the American Guild of Organists and the Organ Historical Society.  In 2017 he released a new all-Bach organ CD on the Azica label, adding to earlier recordings on Towerhill Records.  Studying with Paul Jacobs, he earned a Master’s degree from The Juilliard School.  Last Spring he was appointed the John Rose College Organist-and-Directorship Distinghished Chair of Chapel Music at Trinity College, Hartford.

The Pilgrim Program
 Wednesday, February 21, 7pm-8-45pm
The Pilgrim Program group will meet for the fourth session in the rectory beginning Wednesday, February 21; 7:00 – 8:45 p.m.  New members are welcome and past members are invited to return.  Please join in this journey of faith and sharing of Scripture stories  as well as stories of our lives. There are no pre -requisites and, while it is ideal if you can attend all six gatherings, missing some is not an issue. There is a small manual and you are asked to make a donation of $8.00 – 10.00 to help cover the cost. Please consider joining this journey during the Lent/Easter season.
