Prayer for Guidance in finding a new Rector (BCP)
Almighty God, giver of every good gift:  Look graciously on your Church, and so guide the minds of those who shall choose a new Rector for this parish, that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

NOTICES

Sunday Service Babysitting
Please note that Babysitting during the 10:00am Sunday service will not be available this Sunday July 1.
Food Barrel
Summer has arrived, but the lyrics “and the living is easy” do not apply to those who have insufficient income to secure adequate food for themselves and their families.  Please contribute to our food barrel to help people in that unfortunate situation in our county.
Our food barrel is located in the Narthex by the rear door to the Church, ready to be packed with nonperishable items such as: CANNED MEAT, CANNED BEEF STEW, CANNED TUNA, PEANUT BUTTER, JELLY, CANNED FRUIT, RICE, DRIED BEANS, 100% FRUIT JUICE, CANNED VEGETABLES, POWDERED MILK or PARMALAT, COLD and HOT CEREALS, CANNED SOUPS, MACARONI and CHEESE, CANNED OR INSTANT POTATOES, COFFEE and TEA.
The contents of each full food barrel at St. Stephen’s Church are given to the food pantry at Apostles’ House in Newark.  Families and individuals assisted by the pantry at Apostles’ House are referred there by social agencies and churches.
The Garden Club
The Garden Club invites all St. Stephen’s to come and see the “seeds that have grown in good soil.”  Pick some herbs: mint, basil, thyme, rosemary, and parsley or scallions.
The newly planted zinnias will hopefully be a source of altar flowers late summer through early autumn.
Please note the new rose bushes donated by Heloisa and Michael Rooney located near the sacristy door. Heloisa planted these in gratitude for graces received.
