Prayer for Guidance in finding a new Rector (BCP)
Almighty God, giver of every good gift:  Look graciously on your Church, and so guide the minds of those who shall choose a new Rector for this parish, that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Evening of Discernment: God is Calling – How Will You Answer?

Tuesday, April 24 2018, 6:00PM

At Episcopal House
This conference, hosted by the Commission on Ministry, will provide an overview of the discernment process.
Those expected to attend are the people discerning their next steps in ministry (called Aspirants), their rectors and all members of their Discernment Committees. Individuals who want to attend by themselves for information and exploration are also invited. Those considering ordination should have already contacted the Commission on Ministry.
The role of the Discernment Committee is very important at the early stage of the process. We have found that this conference helps the Committee members understand better what is expected of them, their subsequent meetings with the Aspirant and the report they will submit to the COM at the completion of their meetings. A light supper will be offered.
